  • In order to analyze the relationship between rock burst and the composite structure, using a variety of methods, the concept named "structural rock burst" was proposed. We discuss the structural model of "structural" rock burst, and simulate stress evolution of the structure carrier. The results show that rock burst might cause the defective of thick and soft coal seam; stress concentration process of carrier position is divided into three phases along strike when it is "structural" rock burst: first stage is the transitional phase which is from the composite structure type of thick and soft coal on bearing structure, adding advance stress on bearing structure at the second phase, finally, bearing structural damage; with working face close to bearing structure, the face abutment pressure peak increased and the range of impact reduced.
