Influence Analysis of Open-off Cut Excavation Method on Surrounding Rock in Fully Mechanized Caving Face

Abstract
To meet the requirements of high yield,high efficiency and safety production in fully mechanized caving face,the size of open-off cut section was increasing.Under the influence of open-off cut excavation,the differences of stress distribution had a significant impact on surrounding rock stability and support methods.Combining with field conditions of Xishahe 1901 caving face,stress distribution and deformation laws of roadway surrounding rocks were studied under different excavation methods through numerical simulation.The research results showed that "wide mediated narrow spread" method made the least damage on surrounding rocks during second excavation,and the industrial test showed that reasonable excavation methods or support plans were effectively in controlling the cut surrounding rocks and keeping its stability.
