  • A new mine-used mixed type air cooler is developed. The system consists of spraying device and surface type air cooler. The spray water of spraying device adopts natural cold source. On the one hand, it can bear a part of cooling load for mine cooling; on the other hand, it washes a lot of dirt from the surface type air cooler's surface, so as to improve the heat transfer coefficient of the surface type air cooler. The chilled water of the surface type air cooler is derived from the artificial cold source, and bears the other part of cooling load for mine cooling. Thermodynamic calculation method for the proposed new mine-used mixed type air cooler is proposed. The results of thermodynamic calculation show that mine-used mixed type air cooler can be well applied in mine cooling. Compared with the traditional air cooler, it can save a lot of energy consumption for mine cooling. The new mine-used mixed type air cooler, proposed in this paper, can effectively meet the needs of cooling system in mine, which has high concentration dust and high cooling load. What's more, it can lower energy consumption.
