Equalizing Reinforcement Support Design and Application in Stratified Roof Roadway

  • The article establishes the mechanical model for coal roadway with stratified roof base on 2105 roadway in Jinhuagong Mine, and finds that the maximum tensile stress of the roof and roadway width or carry width of coal side presents quadratic function, and inversely proportional with the quadratic of bed thickness, puts forward the idea of equalizing reinforcement support for coal roadway with stratified roof, which eliminates the stress concentration of the surrounding rock, and reinforces the support of two sides, and reduces the short-board effect of the roadway that is very important to maintain the stability of the roadway. The results of numerical simulation and field measurement show that the roof forms a compression zone in the role of bolt preload, which improves the overall thickness of the roof strata and enhances its stability; roadway reaches steady state after excavation 20 m, and the convergence between two sides is 15.2 mm, roof and floor convergence are 7.9 mm and 5.0 mm, the support effects are fairly good.
