Study on Impact of Reverse Fault Dip on Coal and Gas Outburst

    • Due to the large number of closed and torsional faults in Guizhou, gas accumulation is not conducive to natural gas release, which leads to coal and gas outburst accidents in mining and is extremely detrimental to the safe and efficient production of mines. Through theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, the influence of inverse fault on coal and gas outburst is studied. The results show that the dangerous impact of fault with dip angle of 60° on coal and gas outburst is the biggest, the second is 45°; the smaller the angle of the fault, the more susceptible of the fault affected by mining disturbance; the impact frequency and impact strength of roof are one of the causes of coal and gas outburst.
