Research on Safe Distance of Soft Basement Dump in Open Pit Mine Based on SIGMA/W

Taking soft basement dump of open pit mine in Inner Mongolia as a study case, we apply finite element analysis module SIGMA/W of GeoStudio to reveal deformation laws of surrounding ground surface under conditions of inclined basement and inverse inclined basement, different slope angle and slope height, and ultimately determine the reasonable safe distance.
