Water Disaster Exploration and Control in Coal Mines of South China

    • The number of coal mines in Southern China accounts for more than 60% of the total coal mines. This area, with the large undulating terrain and complex geomorphic types, is very difficult to explore. The water damage has a great effect on southern mines. They are mainly threatened by line karst water and goaf water. Based on the application effect of various geophysical exploration methods in hydrogeological exploration of southern mines, the paper studies geophysical and ground geophysical methods which are able to fit the characteristics of karst regions, and studies the prevention and control measures for coal mine features in south China to carry out scientific governing for mine water damage.
