Comprehensive Fire Prevention and Extinguishing Technology for Fully Mechanized Caving Goaf at Hard-to-extraction and Spontaneous Combustion Coal Seam

  • For the problems about spontaneous combustion of residual coal in fully mechanized caving goaf at the hard-to-extract coal seam in a mine, the comprehensive prevention technology of spontaneous combustion in the goaf was formulated and applied to 5-2S-2 fully mechanized caving face through analyzing the characteristics and risk of spontaneous combustion in the field. The application shows that the spontaneous combustion of residual coal in the goaf was effectively controlled with comprehensive fire prevention and extinguishing technology, which is made up with nitrogen injection in goaf mainly and reducing ventilation volume, accelerating drawing speed of working face, pipe grouting, diaphragm wall,etc. And the safe mining of working face was ensured.
