  • Goaf in 630 m rail track of No.1 Yungaishan coal mine suddenly gushed water.Through comprehensive analysis of the mine and field surveys of the small coal, the source of water irruption was the cross-border drainage which created by border small coal mines. The location, elevation of cross-border tunnel in small coal mine was determined accurately by the combination of geophysical and drilling. The methods contained the designing and constructing water shut-off roadway, retaining wall, continuous underground wall casting, rock grouting around the rock wall and locating catheter wall, which achieved the conbinaton of water level observed and water used of small coal mine. The successful implementation of flood control projects in small coal mine reduced the mine displacement nearly 80 m3/h.
