The Application of Inert Gases in High-gas Coal Mine With Large Area Fire

Aiming at the large area external fire at N1203 mechanized mining face in the high-gas coal mine of Yuwu Coal Mine Company, the measures of closing the fire zone and using the inert gases of nitrogen and the liquid carbon dioxide to control fire are proposed.The result shows that the application of the inert gases significantly reduces the oxygen concentration and the gas concentration in the closed fire zone,which prevents excellently explosion and accelerates the fire extinguishing.
