Development and application of full hydraulic automatic drill pipe adding device

A full hydraulic automatic drill pipeadding device for drilling rigs in use is developed. The paper introduces the structure and working principle of the device, the core components and mechanism are analyzed. The experiment in Huaibei Qinan Coal Mine, Anhui Province proves that the device can be quickly integrated with drilling rig in use, and the process of adding one drill pipe only takes about 35 s. The device can guarantee the safety of the workers during drilling and reduce their labour strength greatly. In addition, it provides an automation upgrade scheme for the drilling rigs in use.
