Comprehensive Prevention and Control Technology of Goaf Water Damage in Roadway Tunneling

    • The extended tunneling area of the return-air roadway in the second mining area of Weiqiang Coal Mine was taken as the research object. Through the analysis of mine geological and hydrogeological conditions, combined with the previous exploration of goaf by means of geophysical exploration and drilling, the main water-filling threat of roadway tunneling was determined. Then, in the process of roadway tunneling, advanced drilling and hydro-chemical analysis were carried out to ensure the safety of roadway tunneling. The results show that: in the early stage of roadway tunneling in the second mining area of the mine, a number of suspected goaf abnormal areas and rich water area were delineated by surface 3D seismic and transient electromagnetic exploration. Through the verification of the goaf area by drilling engineering and TV logging, it is found that there are goaf and water areas in the south boundary of the second mining area of the coal field. According to the delineation range, the roadway layout was designed. Combined with the geophysical exploration results, advanced drilling was carried out in the underground during the heading stage of the return-air roadway on the southernmost side. At the same time, the abnormal water from the borehole was sampled and analyzed, and it was found that there was no goaf in the explored area.
