    Slope Stability Control Scheme for Steep Slope Mining in Pingshuo East Open-Pit Coal Mine

    • Taking the slope deformation and instability control project of the 4# coal and its lower stagnation resource recovery in the south side of the east open-pit mine in Pingshuo Mining Area as an example, the feasibility of using steep slope mining to recover side-pressure coal is analyzed based on the combination of numerical simulation analysis and limit equilibrium analysis. The results of research and practice show that, on the premise of ensuring the stability of the slope, the slope angle of the south side of the east open-pit mine can be further increased by 1 degree on the basis of the original design, and the compressed coal resources can be recovered by about 0.78 Mt.
