Influence of Work Values for New Generation Miners on Unsafe Behaviors

    • In order to explore the generation mechanism of unsafe behaviors for new generation miners, the theoretical models of the influence of work values for new generation miners on unsafe behavior are established, and the moderating effects of organizational culture on the model are considered. Taking 282 new generation male miners from a coal mine group in Shanxi Province as the research object, the models are tested by using structural equation models and the hierarchical regression analysis. The results show that the work values of new generation miners have a significant negative impact on unsafe behaviors. The job satisfaction plays an intermediary role between work values of new generation miners and unsafe behaviors. The positive adjustment effects of organizational culture are significant. The results not only enrich and develop the theory of work values, but also provide the decision-making basis for managers to effectively control the unsafe behaviors of new generation miners.
