Risk Assessment of Coal Roof Water Inrush Based on Water-rich Index

    • This paper is aimed at the evaluation of the risk of water gushing in the middle and lower Jurassic aquifers in the coal roof of Tarangaole Coal Mine, the weight values of the water-rich influencing factors such as aquifer thickness, collecting rate of drill core, thickness ratio of brittle-plasticity, permeability coefficient are given by the analytic hierarchy process. The factors coupled with their weight values, and a model for evaluating the risk of water inflow of the middle and middle-lower Jurassic aquifers is established by introducing water-richness index. According to the unit water inflow of borehole, the water-rich zone was tested, and the weight of each influencing factor was modified until the evaluation result of water-rich zone was in line with the actual hydrogeological conditions. The results show that the risk of mine roof water inrush decreases gradually from southeast to northwest, while the risk of mine roof water inrush is higher in the southeast.
