Numerical Simulation of Methane Accumulation Controlled by Air Brattice in Partial Roadway

More Information
  • Published Date: February 09, 2012
  • This paper adopts Computational Fluid Dynamics software to simulate methane accumulation and diffusion in partial roadway. The result of sumulation intuitively shows that the vortex exist in the roof zone, wind speed is quite low and methane is accumulated. The reseach mainly discusses the effect of air brattice in preventing methane accumulation in partial roadway. It obatins the best project that using air brattice in 30 degree gradient settings can effectively eliminate the methane in partial roadway finally.
