Abstract
To solve the problem of environmental pollution caused by coal dust accumulation and flying at the transfer point of the belt conveyor in a coal preparation plant, a dust control scheme for the transfer point was studied by analyzing the characteristics and causes of dust production at the transfer point. Firstly, the airtight cover is designed according to the size of belt conveyor and the installation position of blower. The problem of dust escape is well controlled. Then the parameters calculation, component selection and field installation of air-water spraying device are carried out. Finally, the new self-generating control device is connected with spraying device to control the shutdown and operation of the system. The respirable dust and the whole dust concentration at the reloading point were obviously reduced, and the dust reduction efficiency of respirable dust was 87.6%.
