Accurate Positioning Technology for Mine Workers Based on UWB

A design and implementation scheme of mine personnel precise positioning system based on UWB technology was proposed. The principle of SDS-TWR ranging algorithm is analyzed. Combining with the one-dimensional linear space characteristics of mine roadway, the system uses a single card reader to achieve precise positioning and direction discrimination, and uses time division multiplexing technology to solve the wireless signal collision problem and the method ensures the positioning success rate and improves the positioning accuracy. The experimental results show that the positioning accuracy of the system is less than 0.3 meter and the effective coverage reaches 300 meters, which meets the actual needs of mining.
