Research on Panoramic Modeling and Fault Rendering System of Fully Mechanized Coal Mining Face in VR Environment

    • A method of panoramic design and fault rendering in fully mechanized face based on virtual reality (VR) technology is proposed. Firstly, UG was used for equipment modeling and motion relationship was established. Then, 3DSMAX was used for people and scene roadway modeling to show the appearance and operating environment of the equipment. Then, RHINO was used to optimize the models. Then, UNITY-3D is used to make character bones and scenes building; particle system was used to make faults of downhole accident equipment, and graphical user interface (GUI) was optimized. Finally, the real-time working face data is input. After the current problem is determined by the monitoring system, the corresponding problem effect can be vividly rendered in real-time in the 3D virtual monitoring scene, including downhole flood, downhole fire, roof disaster, equipment fault warning, etc., to complete the panoramic modeling of fully mechanized mining face and the establishment of fault rendering system.
