    Control Mechanism of Surrounding Rock of Gob-side Entry in a Highly Gassy Working Face and Its Application

    • Aiming at the problems of gas transfinite in upper corner and mining entry at highly gassy working face with “U” type layout, a comprehensive method including theory analysis, laboratory test, numerical modeling and field test was implemented. The control mechanism of gob-side entry and Y type ventilation system was tested based on the background of Qiuji Coal Mine. The research results indicated that: based on the movement characteristics of strata in goaf, a comprehensive control measure including high pre-stress bolt/cable, early strength and high resistance and compressive filling body and high resistance support was proposed; based on the specific geological conditions, the component materials of filling body and its mechanical mechanism were determined, a rational width of filling body was deduced by numerical simulation; a support scheme was proposed and applied to the engineering practice. The validity of the control scheme was validated by the field monitoring.
