Simulation Study on Maximum Cycle Footage During Roadway Excavation

    • In order to improve the calculation theory of maximum circulating footage in roadway excavation, based on roadway stability criterion, numerical simulation method is used to calculate roadway with different rock grades, different depths and different section sizes. According to simulation results, calculation method of roadway roof displacement is proposed, which provides basis for determining maximum cycle footage during roadway excavation. The application of 2305S coal mining face in Xinjulong Coal Mine has achieved good results. It is mainly shown that there is no rock caving in the top area of roadway, and the speed of roadway tunneling increased from 40 m/month to 60 m/month, which greatly shortens the construction period and saves millions of yuan for Xinjulong Coal Mine.
