    Centralized Control System for Multiple Belt Conveyors Based on PLC and Configuration Software

    • There are many problems such as deviation, skidding, longitudinal tearing and abrupt stopping during belt conveyors transmission. In order to facilitate operators to timely understand the status of long-distance belt conveyor, a centralized control system is proposed based on PLC and configuration. SIEMENS PLC is used as the main and subordinate control system. The Asiacontrol Kingview software is used as a host computer real-time monitoring interface. With the combination of different types of protection sensors, the signals are acquired, transmitted and communicated in order to monitor a number of belt conveyors. The practical application shows that the centralized control system has a good ability of fault self-diagnosis. Thus it ensures the safety of long-distance transportation and improves the automation and intelligence level of the transportation equipment.
