    Analysis of Failure Characteristics and Control Technology of Shallow Buried and Three-soft Coal Roadway with Thick Mudstone Roof

    • In order to solve the engineering problems such as large deformation of surrounding rock, severe continuous deformation and serious failure of supporting components in the coal roadway with three soft and thick mudstone roof, failure characteristics and mechanical deformation mechanism of surrounding rock were analyzed. Based on the design concept of “strong network surface protection, multi-stage roof control, moderate pressure release, water blocking by spraying”, a coupling supporting scheme of “multi-stage roof control with pressure release” is proposed, and the change of displacement field is analyzed by numerical simulation software and its supporting effect is also verified. Engineering practices show that the subsidence of roadway roof is 21 mm, the measure of floor heave is 22 mm, the displacement of both sides of roadway is 59 mm after adopting this control technology, 10%, 6.9% and 13.3% of the original support, respectively, which effectively solves the engineering problem of large deformation of the surrounding rock of the tunnel.
