    The Application of SSP Technology in Gob Exploration

    • The tunnel construction often encounters coal gob area,the exploration of gob is one of the problems in the field of engineering geophysical.Traditional reflection seismic method is ineffective in mountain area which landscape changes dynamically.Electromagnetic method is not sensitive in non-filling high impedance gob.SSP is derived from TST tunnel geological prediction method which bases on seismic scattering theory.Different from TST technology,the SSP technology uses surface observations for the detection of the coal mining area.The distribution of coal seams and range gob area within the depth of 120 m is investigated clearly under complex topographic and geologic conditions.This study indicates that seismic scattering technique is a new seismic exploration technique.
