Study on Roadside Support Method of Gob-side Entry Retaining in Condition of Overlying and Thick-hard Roof

    • Cutting roof is the key to keep gob-side entry retaining stable in condition of overlying and thick-hard roof. According to the structural mechanics model of gob-side entry retaining overlying strata, the paper analyzes roof breaking structure in the different methods of roadside support and obtains that the strong roof-cutting support can reduce the hanging length of roof. Based on the above research, the gob-side entry retaining of the 10106 working face in a mine is taken as the background. The stress state of support and deformation characteristics of roadway in the strong roof-cutting support is analyzed using numerical simulation for the filling body of 2.4 m and 3.0 m. The conclusion is that the strong roof-cutting support has the characteristics of high initial support force, high resistant and yielding property, and constant resistance. Cutting roof in time is to ensure stability of gob-side entry retaining. Field monitoring shows that the strong roof-cutting support can ensure good effects on gob-side entry retaining and meet the needs of safe production.
