Experimental Study on Rapid Determination of Non-desorption Gas Content at Atmospheric Pressure

    • The determination of atmospheric pressure non-desorption gas content is an important part of the direct determination of gas content. It takes long period, high cost, complex operation by using the direct measurement device DGC for atmospheric non-desorption gas content measurement. A total of 257 coal samples from Shanxi Province were selected to determine the gas adsorption constant and the atmospheric pressure adsorption capacity in the laboratory. Through the analysis of the test data, the logarithmic relationship between coal metamorphism degree and the measured atmospheric pressure adsorption capacity was obtained. And then the relationship model of rapid determination of non-desorption gas content at atmospheric pressure was obtained. Using this relational model, it is possible to accurately determine the gas content of coal seams within 8 hours.
