Abstract
This paper researches the abutment pressure based on stress monitoring system for the shallow buried coal seam about 100 m. The lead abutment pressure is obviously divided into three areas: slightly mining affected area that can divided into lower pressure zone and stable pressure zone based on the support pressure change trend is 30 m away; obviously mining affected area with the range of 10 m to 30 m, the lead abutment pressure gradually decreases with the increase of distance, but is larger than the stress of original rock; severely mining affected area within 10 m range, the lead abutment pressure increases sharply and elastic deformation of surrounding rock is severe. The lateral support pressure distribution is fluctuated and has two stress peaks, at the 5 m and 9 m near the coal wall, and its influence area is about 11 m and has the minimum at the 7 m and the roof fracture is at 5 m to 7 m. Finally, theoretical and numerical simulation software is used to determine the reasonable width of 15 m coal pillar.
