  • In view of the technical problems of water conservation mining in western mining area, taking 12# coal mining face in Caocun Coal Mine as the research background, based on the systematic analysis of the height of water flowing fractured zone development affected by many factors, through theoretical analysis, field investigation and numerical simulation method, we propose strip filling mining. The results showed that: in the strip filling mining, overburden slowly sinks from the original “three zone” to“two belts”, which blocks rock breaking and plays a role in water conservation; coal seam thickness, the roof rock strength and structural type, strip mining, mining rate, filling parameters are the main controlling factors affecting the development height of overlying water flowing fractured zone, and the overlying strata subsidence value and its value is a linear relationship.
