Optimal process is put forward in order to optimize dumping parameters of loess based earth dump scientifically.The process fully considered the inherent characteristics of loess based earth dump,and the height of the steps and the width of the plates were determined under the premise of meeting the requirements of dumping process and slope stability,and then the dumping parameters in the dump were optimized gradually through the cycle analysis of stability of combination steps and overall slope.
