    Development of a Kind of Foamed Gel and Its Sealing and Inhibition Characteristics

    • In order to solve problems on fire prevention and extinguishing materials of coal mine, a new type of foamed gel was developed by four factors and three levels orthogonal experiment. The self-designed sealing device and temperature programmed method were adopted to test its characteristics of blocking air leakage channels and retarding the coal spontaneous combustion respectively. The results show that the performance about pressure resistence of foamed gel has been greatly improved compared with the three-phase foam; the foamed gel will not decompose irritant gas under high temperature, and shows excellent features in preventing and extinguishing the coal fire in aspects of sealing and inhibition.
