The paper introduces the regulation and criterion of lightening protection of gas drainage pump station, determines the category of lightening protection of release pipe of gas drainage pump station and the protection scope of lightening protection of gas pump station and analyzes the viability of different types of lighting arresters adopted on gas drainage pump station, the design would has certain reference value to the lightning protection design of gas pump station.
