    Application of Ground Vertical Hole Drainage Technology in Gas Control of Special Thick Seam

    • For the problems of large gas emission and low drainage rate in special thick seam mining with high gas content and low permeability, and through the comprehensive comparison of economy and technology, the ground vertical hole drainage technology is determined to use in mine, and the application of ground vertical hole drainage technology at 8204 special thick seam working face is studied. The gas extraction concentration at 8204 working face is up to 28.69% and the average concentration is about 3.5%, and it can effectively reduce the gas content in the mined-out area; gas drainage rate fluctuates between 15 m3/min and 35 m3/min and remains stable on the whole.
