Experimental Study on Acoustic Emission Monitoring Technique and Pre-warning of Stress Type Outburst Disasters in Deep Mine

    • In order to explore acoustic emission (AE) pre-warning method of stress type outburst disaster in deep mine, we carried out AE monitoring technique and pre-warning experiment for heading face dynamic disasters by installing transducers into through bed holes at bed plate tunnel. The results indicate that installing the transducer into the floor of coal seam is suitable for AE monitoring, and the suitable distance between the sensor and the coal seam should be within 1 m to 2 m; the effective monitoring distance of transducer is 40 m. When heading face is in a high stress area, the AE parameters increase with an impulse type; when the heading face is in a general stress area, the AE parameters are in lower level. Contrastive analysis of acoustic emission parameters and drilling cuttings shows that the variation of AE parameters are consistent with that of drilling cuttings at heading face, and ahead of drilling cuttings volume index. With the new monitoring technique of transducers installing into through bed holes, the variation of AE parameters can reflect the change of stress factors of coal gas dynamic disasters.
