Effect of Different Shift Systems on Fatigue of Underground Front-line Miners

  • In order to study the influence of different shift systems on front-line miner fatigue of underground coal mine, through the establishment of mathematical model of fatigue index, a team with 60 employees is taken as the research object in Weijiadi Coal Mine, the team is divided into two groups to carry on "three eight-hour shifts" and " two seven-hour plus four hours shifts ". We apply fatigue index evaluation method to carry ouy fatigue analysis, and obtain the influence of two different shift systems on staff fatigue degree. The results show that the current"three eight-hour shifts"system causes a certain degree of fatigue effect to safe production of front-line workers in Weijiadi Coal Mine, and has a certain safety risk; we should establish a reasonable shift system to guarantee the safety of mine development.
