    Numerical Simulation Analysis of High Pressure Water Jet Breaking Coal Parameters Based on Coupling Algorithm of Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics and Finite Element Method

    • Using nonlinear impact dynamics software LS-DYNA, and the method of smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) coupling with finite element method (FEM), we simulate the micro process of breaking coal under high pressure water jet. According to the simulation results, for hydraulic reaming operation in Ⅱ1 coal seam, the best nozzle diameter is 2.0 mm to 2.5 mm; the critical breaking coal pressure is 10 MPa, and the best breaking coal pressure is 20 MPa to 22 MPa.
