    Mine Earthquake Location Method Based on MATLAB

    • The velocity of P wave is faster than the S wave and the arrival time of P wave is easy to distinguish in the coal.Based on this,Newton iteration method is used to solve the nonlinear equations of hypocentral location on the basis of the arrival time of P wave,and MATLAB language is used to compile a stand-alone executable program for this solution process.The result is more accurate and more intuitive graphical output when it used for hypocentral location in a mine earthquake of Huafeng coal mine.The results could be basically meet the actual value and could be mutually confirmed.
