Study on Lateral Stability of Large Mining Height Hydraulic Support

    • With the increase of working face mining height, the stability problem of hydraulic support with high working face is more remarkable. To solve this problem, we calculated the influence mechanism and trend of the gap between hole and axis in detail, base width which belongs to the hydraulic support structure elements on lateral stability when the hydraulic support offsets and works in different conditions, and combined with the actual processing conditions, we corrected the deficiencies of the conventional analysis and took the ZY10000/26/55 as an example to carry out the date calculation. It is found that the ratio of largest mining height to base width is also a factor affecting the stability. Finally, we proposed measures to improve the lateral stability by controlling the structural elements to ensure that the large mining height hydraulic support can meet the working conditions.
