  • In view of wiring difficulties and no convenient follow-up and other shortcomings of cable transmission type in the present mine safety monitoring system, we propose a wireless sensor network based on ZigBee. The network consists of sensor nodes, the coordinator and upper unit, which is in charge of various environmental parameters and production parameters of the coal mine collection, transmission and monitoring. Master control chip uses 32-bit MCU STM32W108 and PC console software uses Visual Studio to design. It is a organic combination between the advantages of low power consumption, free networking, expansibility of ZigBee network and coal mine communication requirements under complicated environment.
