Research Progress of Gas-water-rock Interaction for Gas Occurrence and Migration in Abandoned Coal Mine

    • The gas in the abandoned coal mines can be extracted and used as a valuable clean energy, or accumulated in-site, forming disasters and aggravating greenhouse effect, or even contaminating groundwater in mining area due to the gas-water-coal interaction. In this paper, a nationwide investigation of residual gas and secondary disasters for different abandoned coal mines in China is introduced. We carry out review of research progress for hydrogeochemistry and multiphase flow mechanism of abandoned coal mine gas - water - rock reaction, and point out the research emphasis in the future.
