Abstract
The gas accumulation in upper corner is a problem that must be solved in high gas fully mechanized caving face.According to the practical situation in 8103 working face of Tashan coal mine,the method of setting a high-located gas drainage roadway to prevent gas accumulation at the upper corner is proposed in this paper.Based on the theory of Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD),the mathematical-physical model is built to calculate the flow laws of air and gas in fully mechanized caving face and goaf.The feasibility and reliability of the method are analyzed,which is tested by the practical project.
