Numerical Simulation on Influence Factors of Ground Stress at the End of Fault

More Information
  • Published Date: October 19, 2015
  • We simulated the distribution of ground stress at the ends of normal faults by numerical simulation software RFPA. The effect of depth, width of shattered zone, key layer Poisson's ratio and key layer elastic modulus on the distribution of horizontal and vertical stress at the end of fault is simulated. The stress effect of key layer elastic modulus on fault end is the most sensitive, which is the main factors of stress concentration distribution. Research shows that the factors listed above have different effects on the ends of the fault stress. Through the research results, the stress distribution at the end of fault in mining areas near fault can be predicted and judged by RFPA. It helps to choose a reasonable support pattern and retain the reasonable waterproof coal pillar and prevent the occurrence of coal and gas outburst accidents.
