Laser Measurement Method for Surface Deformation of Roadway Surrounding Rock

A method is proposed to monitor roadway surface deformation effectively based on the laser measurement technology. This method uses the principle of laser ranging to conduct automatic measurement for the deformation amount of surrounding rock in underground roadway measuring points. In order to achieve monitoring and warning for the surrounding rock stability, the measured data can be analyzed and displayed visually by PC software. It introduces the work principle of laser measurement, the device structure, the software system and experimental results to highlight the convenience, efficiency and practicability of this method.
