    Study on Rational Support Strength of Roof at Face-end Area of Fully Mechanized Caving Face

    • The theoretical analysis and numerical simulation are used to study the formation and failure process of the triangle hanging plate at the face-end area and then the protective effect of the triangle hanging plate to the weak area is analyzed. Research shows that the supporting structure of the face-end area has no influence on the size of the triangle hanging plate; the scope of the triangle hanging plate shows the characteristics of periodic change with the working face advancing. So the support strength of the face-end area should be enhanced at some segments. Finally, taking the 6202 mining face of Wangzhuang Coal Mine as an example, the reasonable end support strength is found, and the stability of the face-end area is achieved.
