Application of Wireless Ranging Technology in Personnel Positioning System of Coal Mine

In this paper, it is introduced that the principle of current mainstream wireless ranging technology, such as RSSI, TOA, TOF, SDS-TWR, etc. The aspects are compared and analyzed that the advantages and disadvantages of various ranging methods and their application feasibility of coal mine personnel positioning system. It is presented briefly that a new mine personnel positioning system based on SDS-TWR location algorithm and the actual test result. Finally, it is pointed out that the development trend and direction of personnel positioning technology in coal mine.
