Application of MWD Directional Drilling Technology in Geologic Exploration in Underground Coal Mine

The MWD directional drilling technology was a mature drilling construction technology in underground coalmine. This technology had some characteristics, which included measuring and calculating the borehole trajectory parameters accurately, controlling borehole trajectory artificially, drilling branch borehole and so on. Based on the above technical characteristics, the MWD directional drilling technology was suitable for long-distance and high-precision geological exploration. Through practical examples, it introduced the application technology and analysis method of directional drilling technology in geological exploration of underground coalmine, which could provide references for the similar borehole construction. At last it pointed out the development direction of the MWD directional drilling technology for the on-site construction problems.
