    Spontaneous Combustion Hazard Prevention Technology of Mining Across Stop Line of Top Seam at Fully Mechanized Caving Face with High Stress

    • With the improvement of production process, fully mechanized caving faces were often arranged under the top seam goaf of Changcun Coal Mine. In order to expand the coal resources recovery, the terminal mining line of fully mechanized caving face would cross the top seam mining stop line, spontaneous combustion hazards happened several times during mining across the stop line. Through analyzing the reasons of the spontaneous combustion hazards, finally highly targeted comprehensive fire prevention and control techniques were used to control the hazards, which included blocking the major sources of air leakage and leakage sinks of goaf, reducing the ventilation pressure at both ends of the goaf, making deep drilling hole into goaf reasonably and injecting large polymer retardant foam, accelerating the speed and so on. It had achieved good results.
