Calculating Methods Review for Clay Content

Clay content is the important properties parameters of the rock lithology in reservoir, which is the basis of precisely calculating the others parameters, also is the necessary parameters of the forward geophysical. Improving the calculation accuracy of the clay content is a difficult and important study in reservoir characterization. In this article, the common clay content in sand-shale strike methods is summarized and the applicability of their advantages and disadvantages of each method is discussed.
