Practice and Discussion on the Establishment of Intrinsically Safe Open-pit Mine

In the paper, it analyzed the successful experiences of safety management of Shengli Open-pit mine, and proposed the basic ideas to establish intrinsically safe open-pit mine. It analyzed the characteristics and support system of intrinsically safe coal mine scientifically, and put forward five ways to achieve intrinsic safety, which included establishing safety concept, building risk pre-control, enhancing infrastructure construction, promoting management improvement, implementing security engineering.
