    Properties Study on the Foam-sol in Controlling the Coal Dust

    • To investigate properties of the foam sol in view of prevention and control of coal dust, quantitative analysis is performed on foam by utilizing hanging slice method, rotating viscometer, ROSS-Miles method and self-designed adhesion testing method respectively. It is concluded that the critical micelle mass fraction of surfactant mixed system is 0.9%, the minimum surface tension value of the solution is 23 mN/m; the maximal foaming multiple is 50 times. When the foaming multiple is approximately 25 times, the determined viscosity value is the maximum of 270 mPa·s; the effect of prevention and control of dust for the foam sol was the best with the cross linking reaction of 2 min on the foam liquid membrane where the foam sol adhesion is 1.65 MPa.
