Properties Study on the Foam-sol in Controlling the Coal Dust

Abstract
To investigate properties of the foam sol in view of prevention and control of coal dust, quantitative analysis is performed on foam by utilizing hanging slice method, rotating viscometer, ROSS-Miles method and self-designed adhesion testing method respectively. It is concluded that the critical micelle mass fraction of surfactant mixed system is 0.9%, the minimum surface tension value of the solution is 23 mN/m; the maximal foaming multiple is 50 times. When the foaming multiple is approximately 25 times, the determined viscosity value is the maximum of 270 mPa·s; the effect of prevention and control of dust for the foam sol was the best with the cross linking reaction of 2 min on the foam liquid membrane where the foam sol adhesion is 1.65 MPa.
