Drilling Depth Measuring Instrument Based on Hall Sensor

This article introduces a new drilling measuring method. By detecting the operating condition of magnetized drill pipe by Hall sensor, the study detects and records round trips and time of drill pipe and restores the drilling process in chart by using the upper-computer software. Through adding up the distance of each trip can determine drilling depth.
